Last August we packed the theater at SCSU. This year we come back bigger, alongside the 5th Annual Black Wall Street Festival — and this time, the work doesn't end when the room clears.
Last August, we packed the theater. More than 150 of us came together for the 3rd Annual Community Economic Development Summit. We talked about wealth, identity, and power. We named the audacity it takes to build what our community deserves. The room reached capacity, and the conversations haven't stopped since the room cleared.
This year — Thursday, August 13, 2026 — we reconvene. Alongside the 5th Annual Black Wall Street Festival, the largest Black-owned festival in Connecticut. With deeper conversations, sharper programming, and a community ready to shape what comes next.
But before we curate the experience, we want to hear from you. Three minutes will help shape the conversations, the programming, and the work we do together this August.
